Hello Cyclebreakers, I am Shawnnell, Your Barrier Breaking, High Accountability, No Bullshitting Licensed Professional Counselor. I established Choosing Empowerment with the objective of dismantling obstacles that hinder marginalized and disenfranchised communities from seeking assistance. Our primary focus is to provide mental health and wellness services to groups such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, foster/adoptive families, and formerly incarcerated individuals, among others who experience marginalization and disenfranchisement. Our approach involves providing virtual psychotherapy to people of all ages in my home state of Louisiana, my current state of residence Texas, and internationally. Additionally, I extend mental health and wellness life coaching services to individuals beyond the boundaries of my licensed states. At Choosing Empowerment LLC, our foundation is based on the power of choice and healthy relationships. As a mental health advocate, speaker, author, and community leader, I take my responsibilities seriously, and I remain committed to being honest, informative, straightforward, compassionate, non-judgmental, and understanding. We believe in promoting accountability and empowering our clients and those around us to put in the necessary work to heal and become their best and highest selves. We understand that breaking cycles is difficult, and we are here to provide support and encouragement throughout your wellness journey.
